Love for our cushions from Kashmir.
These beautiful hand dyed, chain stitched wool cushion covers merge the best in contemporary and abstract design and are produced using the finest, traditional techniques.
We have the benefit of being able to access this wonderful traditional handiwork made in Kashmir since the 15th Century. They are guaranteed to be made under fair trade principles by farmers in their spare time - usually sharing a pipe and local gossip. No slave labour and no children involved. It is traditionally men's work as the crewel is hard to get through the material.
The kilim and raja kilim are slightly different but complement each other nicely on the lounge or a set of chairs.
This cushion cover is made in Kashmir using a chain-stitch in 100% wool on a 100% cotton backing.
Cold wash, dry flat. Cool iron or dry clean. 45cm x 45cm.
